Default battery in an '89

I have been using Pep Boy's batteries. Mostly because when they fail, which is about after one year, the guarantee gives me a discount on the next one. I think the batteries for the C4 are way undersized. Does anyone have a good suggestion and good results for a battery?

Good luck finding a decent battery... the best one I had was the original but, that one lasted longer cause I actually drove my Vette then. :D Seriously, My 89's both have parts shop batteries w/ the labels removed (stealthy look) and I replace them every year or so w/ a dang good warranty from the parts house. I do have a battery tender (you plug into 110 A/C) and when I remember to plug it in,it does its job. Good luck! BTW, I can change a battery in less than 10 minutes now

When you consider price and performance, I find it difficult to beat a Sears DieHard battery. I've used them for years, in a variety of vehicles, and find them very reliable.

I put a Gel battery in my '89 and I have been really happy with it. I installed the new one in ten minutes and was really feeling proud of myself. Now I learn *89x2* can do the out and in within ten minutes and I am humbled :D Whose idea was it to bury the battery like that!?! :chevy :chevy :chevy

I got the one from kragen - it's a Exide nascar. No problems in years. I have alot of stereo equipment (135amp alt.) that draws lots of amps. No problem w/ the little thing(650cca).
