I installed a complete set of carpet from one of the Corvette aftermarket suppliers 2 years ago (actual source was ACC). It has faded to the point where I'm going to have to dye it. No, not just the rear deck area, but the side door panels and the center console sides. You should see the door panel where the sill overlaps. I've got an obviuos 2 tone. The rear deck matting is also beginning to break down too (was mass backed). Does anyone know of someone who makes some UV stable carpet ?

gee... check with Ecklers? Or your local upolstery shop.

Years ago I purchased carpet from Eckler's for my 73. The product was good at that time. I would go there again. :smash:

back in the 70's, we would consider "shsg" carpet as a replacement. :lol:

Seriously, I would check the warranty on that carpet, and cetainly contact the supplier in any case.
Unless you have neglected the carpet, you should see way more than 2 years!


MidAmerica..Ecklers...should be reliable sources.
Also check with a local shop that you trust. (someone that does restorations?) :seeya

MAD, Ecklers, Corvette America all sell ACC...it's really unavoidable.

There is a company that holds the molds from Corvette GM carpet...and they have to uphold GM standards...I can get the number if you want it...
