VATS code 46 anyone have exp?
had a lovely little exp at midnight tonight, pull in, get gas, come back, car won't start, no starter crank etc..sat out there & played around for a few, paid a homeless guy five bucks to help push me around so i could see if it would push start..noda..sat there & beat on the ecm for a minute & vrooom up it fires. come home & pull a code 46 stored in mem..which is odd i didn't think they stored. no problems yet again..but..could something have gotten wet? it's rainy as skitiez out here in the NW...i'm clueless on VATS stuff :confused:

46 Vehicle Anti-Theft Sytem (VATS) failure or Power Steering Switch failure
Poor electrical connection, open or short in circuit; incorrect ignition key or starting procedure; defective VATS module; defective ECM.
Could any of this have gotten wet, maybe the key

got me i plan on doing another chip before long & might just disable the vats in the burn..very odd thing that hasn't came up today at all..just that one time
