i my limited slip isn't so limited... i know there is probably not an upgrade, so does anyone know a source on a the clutch pack.. btw its a 96 lt4 d44...
I would drain and replace the gear-oil...and ADD the proper GM LS additive. This is usually the most common problem. Most people change fluid and don't add the 'limited-slip' additive.
This may well not help but it is the cheapest way to see.
well its a fairly new rear so i am not sending it out.. and i know that the clutch packs aren't a whole lot of money.. so the peice of mind is worth the effort.. it has limited slip additive in it.. not gm though.
Randy's ring and pinion. I use them alot, great prices and service. I think the last set of Dana 44 clutches were around $30-50. I can't remember exactly though.
Look in the yellow pages under truck parts for a parts dealer displaying the "Spicer" logo. They are the distributor for the Dana axle parts. Also, 4X4 shops that install lift kits and large tires are always working on Dana diffs.
