Are there any special do's or don't's with regard to changing the Low Coolant Sensor? Does it just unclip and pull out or is it screwed in. Do you lose coolant when you remove the old sensor?
It simply "un-clips" and pulls straight out. You will lose some coolant providing the radiator is full. You should be able to pull out the old one, cover the hole with your finger and then quickly replace it without much loss......don't do any of this work with a hot radiator......
That is exactly the information that I needed. Thanks for your help.
If you recently changed the anti freeze you could have an air block.. My low coolant flashed and I replaced the switch... didn't correct the problem...
It had to be "bled" to get the air out of the system...
But the as stated above .. the switch is easy to replace...

I have burped and repacked the radiator several times now and the low coolant light still comes on occasionally. I suspect that I have some air in the systems, but bupring has not seemed to get rid of it. As the sensor is 22 years old and never been replaced, I thought that I would give it a try.
How did you eventually get all the air out of your cooling system?
