Default Winter mod decision and injector ?

After a lot of thought I decided on a cam choice. Been looking at Solid, custom grind, or the Hot cam. Since I will not put a cage in the car (and the wife freaked out when I sugested it:D) and put a lot of miles going out of state and long drives so I figure why spend all that money to be on the brakes at the track. I figure if I use the Hot cam I might be able to run a 12.1 or better in perfict weather, and mid 12's in the hot summer. I've been wondering if I can pick up about .50 in the 1/4 with the cam, heads and programing. Last year I gained .50 with the cam, headers and program on my 95 LT1 car and went 12.3 with it(heads were done the winter before). I do want to in the 11's but feel it's a wast of money. Plus were building a new 28x28 garage in the spring. So one question is are the stock 24# injectors fine for what I'm doing? or do I need 30#. All other mods are in my sig pretty much.

I believe GS and Lt4 came with 28lb/hr injectors, I think you should be all set with your stock injectors with the above goals.

LT1's have 24# injectors. LT4's have 28# injectors. I just installed 30# F*** units in mine and found no difference in power output, not that I really anticipated any, but one can always hope. ;)

Here's a question for you though...

One reference says the part number for the LT4 injectors should be 17124251 but the injectors I removed from my LT4 had the number 17089225. Can anyone shed any light on this disparity?

The stock injectors will do fine with the hot cam. If you go with a more agressive cam and plan on spinning the engine higher, the Frod 30# injectors are the way to go. If you decide to go with a more agressive cam, I have 3 sets of the 30#ers in stock. :)
Thanks,

What Chris said about the Ford SVO 30# injectors. Just don't tell us what you'll sell them for, Chris, because I *know* I should have got mine from you! ;)

To answer my own previous question, GM #17124251 is the part number of the LT4 injector KIT (with retainer clips) and #17089225 is the number of the individual LT4 28# injectors.
