ATTN Speed Demon Motorsports
Would like some info on prepping my LT-4 heads as I will be installing hot cam sooner or later
I have looked into doing my own head work but don't want to chance any dammage. The gasket matcing I feel ok about but the head work from what I've heard can be tricky with LT-4 heads.
Any info would be nice, Thanks.

Re: ATTN Speed Demon Motorsports (1CanuckVette)
What kind of info are you looking for??? It takes years and years and a lot of trial and error to figure out how to port a set of these heads. If you ask my to measure cross sections.... NO!! :)
I can give you a few hints. Keep it small. You do not need to remove much material. The basic design on the heads are pretty darn good, just expound on it.
I have been asked quite a few times if I can tell someone how to port their heads. It is a very difficult thing to do.
There is a reason we get paid what we do to port a set of heads.... ;)
Let me know if you have any particular questions.

I would highly recomend having them done by a professional. Chris's company has one of the best LT1/LT4 porters in the business. Good luck
