Super/Turbo Charger on an 84?
Anyone know if this is possible? How much will it run? Is there any links to any websites with them? Any other alternatives that are cost-effective?

Sorry about that. I thought for sure there might be something in there for you. I would get in touch with Carrol supercharging about adapting a kit to your 84. You never know unless you try. Good luck!

Hi,
Jonas Bylund, "JoBy" on this forum is your man. He did have a P1200 ATI on his 84 Crossfire and I think he has now installed a Vortech. He may still have the mount bracket and the P1200 available and I know he has the knowledge on Supercharger installation in an 84 Crossfire injection Vette you are searching for.
Here is his website.

Yeah, I've seen (not in person) Joby's car and that's just amazing. I believe he designed and CNC machined his own custom intake for it.

Yes, that is me ...
I put a Vortech supercharger on a stock 84 with very good results.
texican2K, no, I never used an ATI. Only the Vortech that I bought used at a swapmeet at Bandimeere Speedway, Denver, CO. ($500)
My website: http://w1.605.telia.com/~u60505093/index.htm
Yellow is stock (with supercharger in place, but no belt).
rwtq 245 lbs-ft @ 3000 PRM
rwhp 185 @ 4200 RPM
With 18% losses that is 225 crank hp
Blue is with supercharger driven, all the rest was identical.
rwtq 350 lbs-ft @ 3800 RPM
rwhp 295 @ 5000 RPM
With 18% losses that is 360 crank hp
* Engine is compleatly stock.
Mods before supercharger:
* ADS Super chip with low temp themostat.
* I have removed all emissions stuff ( Cat, AIR-pump and EGR ).
* Home built 2.5" dual exhaust with full length headers and X-Pipe.
Mods to install supercharger:
* Fuel pump from 92 ( LT1 ) Corvette.
* Progressive fuel pressure regulator
* Vortech supercharger
* Dump valve
* Some parts and brackets from newer Corvettes and some custom parts.
Best G-Tech times:
0-60 4.7sek.
1/4 mile 12.73 sek 116 mph
