Default MSD wires and what plug for my LT4???

Hey guys,
I want to replace my plugs and wires on my car. I noticed i have MSD everything but the wires are still factory 7mm. Im going to run some red MSD 8mm HI-PERF wires now but im not sure which plugs to run. It has Denso plugs in it now but i havent pulled them yet to find a number.

Its is a 96 CE LT4 car with...
-Hotcam
-1.6 comp cams gold series rockers
-Comp cams .600 lift springs
-Comp cams lifters
-EM long tubes
-O/R magnaflow x-pipe
-B&B 3" catback
-MSD vented opti distributor
-MSD 6AL
-Meziere elec water pump
-Holley 53mm ported TB
-Ported Mass air
-30# SVO injectors
-PCM4LESS custom tune
-Holley AFPR
-SLP triple claw intake
-ETC.

What do you guys suggest for spark plugs???

Thanks!

NGK's! There cheap and good. That speed shop that does my work, its all they use! You have all the the little supporting mods done it appears. When will the heads get done? Thats where all your power sits.

Although expensive, the Denso IT'20 run very well in my car.

For a cheaper plug I agree with the NGK TR55's (~$1.50), or for about four times more its iridium version.

I assumed NGK would be the plug to run but i didnt know what model number was the right one for the car or the setup on it.

Heads and intake will be worked very soon along with a larger cam at that time. For right now, it runs strong enough. I want to get the short throw installed and some 4.10 gears. My buddies said a direct port nitrous kit would be awesome on my car. They said i could run a 100 shot easy with no problems and it wouldnt be pushing it at all. I could prob get away with a 150 but no more than that on a stock bottom end. Still considering it though. I really dont want to spray this car. I think its too nice for nitrous personally but it would be an easy car to hide the lines on (having the corvette motor covers) and it sure would make good power!

Hmm... Ill pull one to see what is in it. All i can see is the Denso logo on top. I might have those in it already.

Cost is not an issue. Id rather spend the money and get the best plugs for the car. NGK's seem to be a great plug so if those are agreed to be the best, its a bonus to save the cash on them!

I just installed some NGK TR-6 plugs in preparation for a nitrous hit I think the plugs I took out of it were the factory platinum AC Delco plugs. I wouldn't have taken them out if I didn't need a cooler plug.

Ill prob run the TR-55's for now.

Ill swap to a TR-6 when i get my direct port kit if i decide to go that route. Im thinking that 100 shot sure would wake this car up. Id like to see it go 10's on some tires.

I predict with your set up and 100 shot you might see mid 11s. I look forward to hearing your results. Do you have 4.10 gears, cause if you do then I think 10s are possible for you.

I'm looking for high 10's at ~125mph on a 100 shot. If I get brave one day, I might spray 125 or 150 and shoot for mid 10's. We'll see how well it launches and likes the spray.

Don't spend absurd amounts of money on plugs. I have NGK TR-55's on mine, and they work just fine.

TR-55's it is for me then. Thanks guys!

And no, i dont have 4.10's yet but i will very soon. The most i really want to spray is 100 shot but like jonecap said, if it likes the nitrous, might go to a 125 or 150 at most just to get that extra little punch. With our fairly minor mods on stock heads/intake and a little shot, anything in the 10's will make me happy!

I have using NGK V-Powers and they have been great. All the exotic metals get you is longevity, but most of us are change our plugs so often that we never realized it. Keep your money where it belongs. Better yet, save that money for the heads!
