Do you require better valve springs, double, for LT-4 hot cam.
Need to know if anyone has the GM part ## for the stronger springs required for the hot cam. I have the 1.6 rockers that came with LT-4, guess that would leave me needing springs maybe new retainers, locks?????
Will I need to swwap the cam bushings??
Also what misc items would you experienced cam swapers say are a must for this type of job. Thanx

I have heard that you don't need anything if you already have the LT4 engine. The LT4 hot cam was the going to be the "stock" cam for the LT4 and GM changed their mind.

12495494 for the springs, 12495492 sping caps, 10212809 valve spring shims, 24503856 valve keys. You are better off just getting the Hot cam kit if you want to change eveything. The stock LT4 rockers are not adjustable like the ones that come in the kit. Some guys say they have no problems with the stock rockers and others say they needed the adjusting ones. Technicaly as said for a LT4 you just need to swap the cam and all other stock parts work with the Hot cam.(and sometimes the rockers)

Oh I don't know. It gives you a fairly decent upgrade for a resonable price. Sometimes it's good to keep your best pieces as aftermarket parts. You can sell more that way.
