Default Any one else have Chronic Rearend u-joints, and wheel bearing problems!

This has almost caused me to sell my vette several times. I Have changed both rear wheel hubs twice in the past two years. It seems as though a u-joint goes out, my tires go bad, and a wheel hub is to blame. I have a lot of slack in the drive line still. It tightens up after I do the job, but about 3000 miles later it comes back. I know that with the independent suspension you are bound to have a little slack, but mine is to much. I was wondering if I need to get my rear end aligned.
