32 EGR starts to bug me
Again, the solenoid needs to be repared. Did it last year and not sure it will support a second surgery.
Not difficult to do but i was wondering if this global EGR and air pump nightmare to maintain could be simply canceled.
Air pump , it s easy but the Egr....
Should i leave it? Any downside of propetly cancel it and shut off the code in the ecm?
Thanks

I am about 100% sure. Ecm doesnt know if it s open or not and code 32 appears only when on interstate at a regular speed while engine is cooling down at 160 termostat after beeing hot in city trafic.
If it was cloagued ( excuse my very bad english not sure it s a right word) i would have the code consistently. Solenoid did the same last year due to inside broken wire.
I know this bug well but it s just that i am begining to think about cleaning all those hoses... Wires....bypass... Solenoid.... Etc
When i look at my other vettes than have very neat racing engines i wonder why the heck to keep all those stuff that simply.... Bug me.

No, you would only get the code when the egr tries to open the valve.
I only get mine on the highway, to check for a plugged passage is to start the engine and use a screwdriver to open the egr valve and if the engine stumbles, the valve or solenoid is bad and if the engine does not stumble; your egr passage is blocked.
You english is a lot better than some people here in the states!!
