look under your drivers side compartment in the back, theres a sticker with all the codes. If you have Z51, you usually have everything. Yes youll be able to feel every dip in the road.
Look for FE1 on the RPO white label in the center console. FE1 = Base suspension. Don't know the Z51 code. Just keep in mind all the 1996 suspension options are softer than all previous years regardless if Z51 or not.
My 1991 base suspension was stiffer compare to my 1996 base suspension. The 91 FE1 springs are actually stiffer than 1996 Z51 option.

rpo for Z51 is Z51. also Z51 is 2-2 1/4 turns on steering lock to lock. my brothers toyota 4x4 with 3" lift and big ars tires rides like a caddy compared to my car.

Does 2-2 1/4 turns also apply to the 1996 Z51 option compare to FE1?
thanks

according to MAD catalog when ordering z51 specific parts. and also Ecklers, both have that listed in their book as well.. you can always order you a build sheet for the corvette museum. that's eventually what i had to do, to find out all the optional equip. on my car.. however it does cost $50, but i think it was worth it. i belive it should be the same quick steering gear. i do know gm did replace the '84 shocks with some less stiff, on later models. not 100% sure though
