guys, here is some good info. Vortech is working on a sprag setup on their v20 and v28 blowers. Although not useful for us at the current time, I'm sure that the technology will trickle down at some point. I just got off the phone with a vortech tech and he said that the sprag on theirs is going to be built into the blower transmission. Perhaps once they get this done, then they can make a blower pulley with a sprag for us. Here is the article out of this months race pages magazine:

Enjoy!

They are using a similar bearing to the some that is used in the crown vic police alternator pulley. I had one apart and its a needle bearing/one way style. I would really hate to have to spend money on a new blower and brackets.

can these bearings be easily bought? Can we make one of these things? Are there any links you know of? It's been a while since I took a look at this stuff.

Yeah, I'd hate to have to buy another head unit being that I have a ysi with less than 2000 miles on it. The v20 series does look awesome though. That v28 123 is insane. Similar to a procharger f3

Old indeed, but still looking for that sprag.

Can anybody sell me just the sprag for the pulley or tell me where I can order one? I havent found anything to fit yet.

I have D1 and want to use 34 teeth.
So the outer diameter have to be less than 2.5 inches.

I did a ton of research but never found one small enough to work with our setups. I even called a customer of mine that specialized in bearings. Anyone else know anything about this or know of anyone making one?

Ok, thanks!
Maybe I start doing it (design and fabricate) here in Finland.
But it takes time and effort to find something to start with.

Hi all i am new to this forum but really interested in what your doing with this sprag setup on the blower pulley. Wondering if this can be adapted for a 8 rib serpentine belt. Working on custom build 1972 panterra and space is of a premium. I am using a F1A-94 Procharger and need a 3" 8 rib serpentine pulley.
