need of HELP!
I have a 87' L98 today it got hot 250 in the garage when shut it off.opened hood and my cooling fan won't come on I tried with a/c on and then in diag mode no fan. I checked for power at fan with test light and seems that there is no power to fan at all. i am goin to start a search right now but any help would be appricheated.
Thanks in advance

On the ALDL bus by the driver's side right knee.
Connect the A & B pins (Top right and the one immediately to the left of it.)
Turn key to 'on' position, but do not start.
Fan on = Temp sender circuit problem.
Fan off = Fan relay circuit problem.

Then (while disconnected) jump the A & B pins again and turn to 'on' position. Test voltage at that connector to see if you got juice. If the fan works, you probably won't have power there. Follow Agent96's diag pdf.
I'm betting a loose connector or fan relay is shot.

C and E are terminals on the fan relay. C is powered by the fan fuse in fuse block and E is direct power from battery through a fusible link near the battery. You can follow the wire from the relay towards the battery and you will find the fusible link.

If all 3 of those are good, there should be power at terminal "A", that sends the power to fan.
Does that clear the fog ??
