I have Proforms. They cleared my 1.6 RRs without any problem. I'm sorry I didn't go with the black Proforms. They are cheaper and easier to maintain.

My version of the Edlelbrock covers

I got fed up with the stupid Black Plastic fake Socket Head Cap screws falling out of my Edelbrock Valve Covers, what a ridiculous setup.

I pulled them all out and drilled and tapped the holes for a 10-32 thread.

Went and bought 28 of the 10-32 SS bolt button head screws and put them into the tapped holes, it looks 100% better and will make it easier to polish the covers. You could put 1/4-28 SHCS in just like they have if you want, but I did not want the heads to stick up past the top.

Anybody done something similar?

I already had pulled the Plastic Caps out in the pic so I just stuck them on for picture purposes , but you get the point, Button Head SS screws

Your valvecovers will clear 18° heads with Jesel offset shaft 1.7 rockers with no issue. Been there done that. They are awesome covers.

I paid $20 (new) for my chromes at a swap meet, and 27 for felpro rubber gaskets. No leaks and they clear scorpion race 1.6 rockers.

Stock valve covers WILL NOT clear those rockers even with the drip tabs removed.
