Very informative post. I know where I'm buying my injectors from when my LT1 needs them.

If you need injectors - call or message Jon. He answered all of my questions, provided great information on his products, got the injectors to me pronto, and got my 90 back on the road.

Thanks Jon!!

Default FIC Injectors

Hi All,

I recently purchased a set of the Bosch gen III injectors and installed them in my 1989 vette, I thought i was having a problem with the injectors and I sent Jon a msg for help... after a few minutes and a little trouble shooting (under Jon's direction of course) I was able to pinpoint a timing problem that had nothing to do with the injectors. now the car is running great.

Thanks for your invaluable help...
Spencer

Nice videos.

I'd be curious to see the droplet size distribution and average droplet size for a given injector at varying fuel pressures through that injector.

One method for doing this would be to provide a dye in the fuel, and direct the output of an injector under conditions being tested onto a moving substrate. Imagine a bench-top belt sander, but the belt is not sandpaper, rather, just a piece of paper. With the speed of the belt adjusted appropriately, the injector dispensing the dyed fuel could be directed at the moving "belt" and opened for one cycle, the injector being appropriately-distanced from the moving belt substrate.

Then, the belt is removed and dried, and individual droplets per area are counted, as well as the size of the droplets measured for a selected sample area on the belt.

By repeating this with different injectors, at different fuel pressures, one could arrive at the "best" conditions for a given injector.

Default Recommend FIC fo Fuel Injectors!

I purchased a set FIC Bosh III injectors for my poorly running, hesitating 91 vette. FIC was so helpful and had great customer support! Injectors are installed and my 91 vette is running fantastic! Thanks so much! I HIGHLY recommend FIC!!

Those are my FIs in the "FOR CROSSFIRE '84s ONLY"
My car has been running better than EVER...thanks to John and his service.
Just to get the whole fuel system back to new, I replaced the fuel pump, filter and had John rebuild the injectors. It was Johns work that got my '84 TBI purring like a kitten, except when I punch her, when she roars like a lion. Thanks again, John.

The service for TBI is 75.00 complete with all gaskets and seals needed to reinstall them. Every TBI injector we get in either leaks or is performing way below original specs. We restore these to 100% of original spec. This should be part of EVERY tune up on a 84. Removal of the injectors is cake, Turn around is 24hrs. We also rebuild the complete throttle body if needed.

Nice post and video!

I am currently using bosch 24# SVO blue tops that I upgraded to when I added the nitrous kit a couple years ago. Have you tested those? Any opinions? I'm upgrading my heads next year and may need to upgrade the injectors. I was looking at the new Racetronic 37# injectors. Any idea who makes those? I'll be sure to give you a call first when I'm ready.

thanks

Rick call me before you do anything. we sell those 37's too. They are SMP same as accell, etc. I rather see you get a Bosch 3 36 and we will even trade back in the SVO 24

So, with an adjustable fuel regulator, will a set of bosch type III 19 lb injectors work in an L-98 corvette?

My 1992 corvette just sprang a leak in a fuel injector. What is the right injector? Where can I buy the right one?
