Default Targa roof?

Can someone tell me what is the difference between the years? Can one replace another? I have an 88 and need a roof! Thanks

Hey...'84 through early '86 are the same. Late '86 (Aluminum heads) and up are the same. They are not interchangeable (Bolt locations are different), but can be made to work if you switch the mounting hardware. You shouldn't have any trouble finding one to work on your 88 though; there was a whole lot more of 'em. Look in the 'for sale' section...always a few around.

If you take a look there are a few on ebay right now. I believe they changed the targa mounts in 89 to the new style..WW

Early = 84-86e, 2nd design 86l -88, and 3rd design 89-96, for swapping design, only front targa mount brackets, and trims need only be swapped. I just went from 86E - 1994, with success
