Default How to reattach electrical connections to rear window defroster?

The electrical connections for the rear window defroster on my 02 Camaro have fallen off. I've tried using the defroster line repair kits available in auto parts stores, but they won't hold the metal tabs to the window.

I need a conductive glue or something. Anyone know if JB weld will conduct electricity? Any other ideas?

JB Weld is an insulator. I don't know of any epoxy/glue meant to be conductors that are low enough resistance for auto window defroster service. This is because the defrosters draw around 24 amps which requires a very low connection resistance. I would suspect the connections from the conductor on the glass to the spade tab is soldered, not glued.
If you can get a low resisitance connection, I would recommend the rear view mirror re-attach adhesive to windshield adhesive. Glass must be clean and dry and you press and hold the device being glued totally still for at least 60 seconds.

My ex has a Camaro. I actually used a soldering iron to fix it. Not that difficult. I did lay a towel below it so the drips didnt do any damage.

I'm concerned about cracking the glass with the heat from a soldering iron. Thoughts on that?

A while back somebody mentioned a product that's made to re-attach the defogger connection that works well. It might be something made by permatex. Try doing a search in the C4 section.
