My white leather seats don't have any rips or tears, just the white has come off and is very dirty looking. And no amount of cleaning makes them white. Has anyone use a leather kit that you can re color or dye the seats?

That sounds like a upholstery shop project....working with leather can be tricky and IF it gets screwed up...its what it is. Like it or not.

I've used some fabric/leather spray color that was pretty good, but it has a habit of peeling months or yrs later. Probably from poor adheasion to dirty base material. Leather soaked in oils, or armour all.

What year do you have? Your best bet is to get some new seat covers! I've seen some of those spray's/dyes!

I still think any dye will run eventually when you sweat on them! Especially in that hot Texas sun!

That's why I got some nice neoprene seat covers from corvette mods instead of re-doing my leather seats.

How do the seats come out on the 1989 cars? what holds them into the base and the seat back?
