Did you take any background db readings before you started so that we can campare the new db readings? I have long wanted to quiet my '93 so that I didn't have to shout at my wife when we are just talking in the 'Vette.

Can you elaborate on this? I'm doing my own little sound deadening project and about to start working on the doors. I've been worried that the door panels would not fit correctly over the sound deadening material if I installed it underneath the door panel.

No I don't have the equipment to do this but I can tell you it is a very noticeable difference. For me all the work and cost of this was well worth it. Like I said before the car is still not close to being as quiet as my Mercedes and you can still definitely hear the engine rev and it still sounds like you're in a C4 but the noise is decreased significantly.

Only put sound dampening material inside the doors, if you put it on the outside where the door panel fits over it, it will likely not fit or not fit right. So any part where the door panel touches the door should not have any dampening.

I forgot to mention, to add material to the inside of the doors you have to remove the window and regulator.

Default Speaker box 86 vette

I copied the design of the speaker box and created one that would work for my car. If I did the box again I'd go with a more tapered edge like the black box I copied.
