Here's a better pic showing the Ensolite on the tunnel and the Luxury Liner Pro on the floorboard

Eventually I'll wrap all the power cable and other audio cables with this black stuff, it's called tech flex

I like it! I don't understand the benafit of the black layers though??? Mine is sitting with an almost identical layer of dynomat and a layer of (???can't remember the name???) foil covered insulation and i am already having problems getting a new carpet set over. Any idea what i am doing wrong?
Please keep this updated.

Dynamat just stops the panels from vibrating, it does nothing for road noise or outside noise, thats what the black stuff is for. There were a few places that gave me trouble as I've been putting the panels back, you just have to go and see what's making that part not fit and make adjustments. I had to shave a 3 inch section of the luxury liner pro to clear the seat bolts. But I don't know why with just dynamat and the insulation layer you're having problems, that should be about the same or even thinner than the factory jute they used originally.

I got a little further on the glassing, I'm almost done with the mat and going to start putting on the weave. After that the MDF ring gets hot glued in then fleece is draped over to contour the shape of the car and then glassed.

I'm still taking pics, right now I decided to make the amps completely flush with the false floor so I trimmed the fiberglass a little in the pic below. The floor will be about 3/4 inch lower, then I'll just fiberglass over it to make the two surfaces flush. I can't really take pics of pouring the resin, I use another method. You use disposable paint brushes and add a light coat of resin so the fiberglass can stick then paint the fiberglass with more resin until is gets clear (goes from white to clear). That's about it really. If you've never done it you'll get the hang of it very fast.

Here is the new cover I'm making that will be flush with the amps. Right now the amps sit on a false floor that is raised about 3/4 inch so the power wires can go underneath, then this new piece goes on top of that.

I think you may have problems getting the door panels to stay on. Have you test fitted?

I probably added 150 lbs in sound dampening but for a daily driver it's worth it to me to give up a little performance for a quieter ride

Yes, the doors fit fine, just a little more snug, the layer of RAAMat BXT thats on the door is very thin as is the Ensolite which is also compressable.

Wow! Hope you bagged and tagged all the hardware you took out of that bad boy......I recommend using thread tape on all that fastener hardware when it goes back in or else that stereo system you got going on there might shake it all loose again...j/k I can smell the resin from here.....keep up the good work.

It is lookin' awesome! Don't forget to post the "finished" set of pics.

Now it's back to where it was before I lowered the floor, just a few more pieces of mat left to be put on then I'll start with the weave.
