Dana 36 & Dana 44 horsepower limits

I'm just thinking the D36 is worth something if it's in one piece, but anyways I'm running an easy launch set to help with wear and tear also with consistency at the drag strip. Auto trans, stock gear ratio, 2100 converter, and street tires. I'm just trying to figure out if I should give the D36 a shot or save myself the trouble later and just put a D44 in with the new motor and trans come spring.

Drifting
I am putting about 550 rear wheel horsepower to the ground. I got a beefy Dana with the 7/16" rear gear bolts and my bearing caps are steel. The yokes (all 5) are cold stabilized and I am using carbon fiber drive and half shafts. I hear some guys with this setup are running with 900-1000 horsepower and doing drag strip launches and have not had any problems over the years. I hope that works for my autocrossing.

Bumping this for a question. Anyone know what happened to Ski_dwn_it's solid axle conversion? Did a company buy it off him and start selling it? I can't seem to find it anywhere
