Remove the driver side manifold heat shield without removing the manifold? I made some bad decisions, but currently I have to get the half of the heat shield closest to the engine off. I've been trying all day and can't. I even took it to a muffler shop and he said he couldn't do it without taking the manifold off. Has anyone else had to do this?

Well, 2 exhaust shops and 8 hours of me can't get them off, so I'm pulling the manifolds and getting headers.
