Looking for picture of a twisted broken halfshaft
Months ago somebody posted a shot of their half shaft after it twisted and snapped. Im looking for the pic

Ok, found it : (Warning.. this is what slicks and too much power does! ) I'd much rather a half shaft go than the rear end or the tranny though!

What amazes me is that the U-joints held up! I dont' think I want the U joints that strong, seems like they would be cheaper than the half shafts.

That pic is of Phil's (LT401) brothers' half shaft, I think.
Regardless of what is cheaper, u-joints or half shafts, if either one goes, you generally have to replace them all. Generally when the u-joint snaps it destroys the halfshaft with it. I would much rather break a half shaft/u-joint than the rear end.
