My 1996 is currently being vaccuum emptied and then refilled with R134a. The Problem is, that nobody knows how much R134a to fill in. Best information I have is 950g, other sources say 920g R134a and 20g compressor oil. This would be 2.1 pounds. Is this too much?

This thread is 10 years old, you should start a new thread for future information.

I believe 2 pounds is the correct amount. That’s what my 94 FSM says and sure it's the same for the 96.

Can't advice on the oil since I don’t know what was done to the system or the status of it. If you over oil it, that would be bad. Poor cooling and possible damage.
