Severe resonating, please help!
I have Dynomax Turbo Mufflers, but I really think it’s the Walker rear Y. Put them both and a high flow cat all on at the same time. This is sad because it has the cross over pipe just before the mufflers that was supposed to eliminate the humming resonation at continuous RPM, which is the problem I now have!
Can any one advise how I can correct this without redoing the entire exhaust, and if addition of headers and the front Y would help this problem or worsen it if I just leave it as is? Is there another none costly rear Y I should use?

Does corsa make one for the L98? Besides, I said "advise how I can correct this without redoing the entire exhaust" in other words, without a lot of $$$
Also, will headers help? Gears are costly and hard to install on these cars, no?

headers isnt really going to fix it, youll have to change the exhaust or get gears to put you out of resonance range, if you have a M6 thats a good mod, maybe not as much with an A4

We've kicked this around a couple times...Here is what I did. take what is called a 2 inch pipe plug (if this is the right size) it is a pair of washers with a rubber donut in the middle with a bolt going thru. Insert one in one pipe for each muffler. Tighten the wingnut to expand the rubber and seal off the pipe. You now have exhaust going thru only one pipe on each side. You will not believe the difference! When you get to the track or any time you want to, just take the plug out. By the way I picked this up from lt401vette. Works great. My problem is the 2 inch wont work on my flowmasters so now I am working to get 2 1/4 freze plugs to fit.

So what did you get instead FoolCrzy? Must be the Turbo mufflers! Its not loud, just the humming drives you nuts. I don't have the factory ones, it has the muffler elims, and a hole in the rear Y when I got it :)

Hey Guys, I have the Dynomax Super Turbos and man the resonating is killing me. Already purchased the y-pipe with the crossover. Sounds like Tex has already tried this with no sucess. Willing to change mufflers but what gives you a nice throaty sound with out the resonating?

HELP!!!! I Labored over the same issue! I pulled the resonator against ever one's advice, I also have Dynomax turbos! The key is gears. get out of that RPM range! I have 3.54 s I only hear the resonace as I go by it or am traveling at 45 to 50 MPH which is rare speed to travel at. The guy that said 3.73s is right. I put a dana 44 froma ninty two in mine. Works great never bothers me but I do hear it as I pass through the rpms were it occurs.

I've got the same problem. Full length headers, and when I was runningWalker Super Turbos, rear "Y" pipe with cross over too I had resonance.
I sold the Walker Super Turbos and bought a new pair of Walker "Quiet Flow" mufflers, but they make little difference. I ended up plugging one of the "Quiet Flow" exhaust tips with ***** of aluminum foil to knock down the sound.
Right now the sound is bareable, but there has got to be a better way. If anyone comes up with it - short of returning to stock mufflers - let me know.
I was thinking of installed a CAT since mine is gutted, but I don't know how much difference that will make. I'd hate to spend MORE money and not get any results.
What's the story with Corsa?

Has anyone tried Texas Quality Mufflers? I found them in my web search. Here's the link: http://www.corvette-exhausts.com/c4pics.htm
