Does anyone know where I can go to check the casting numbers for the lt1 intakes? Im looking to buy another intake to port and I don't want to get stuck with a 4.3L L99 intake.
All lt1 intakes are the same, But the 4.3L Lt1 (L99) has smaller intake runners that taper kinda like the lt4 intake.
Im looking at two intakes, one of them I wish to buy.
the casting numbers are.
10108630
12552138
That's the one on my 94 LT1, also has the crossover for the fuel rails.
Right I forgot about that! The 92-93 did not have the fuel rail crossover..
The intakes im looking at are the 94+ I just dont know witch one is a lt1 or L99
It looks like the 10108630 is a lt1 and the other the 190cc L99.
I hate to muddy the water, but i have a '630 intake in the
garage i pulled from a '94 caprice with a 265. I don't know
the port sizes, but the casting # was on both engines in '94.
Good luck. benny

What do the runner ports look like? The 4.3L L99 intakes have a slight taper to the runner ports. the lt1 5.7L is 200cc and the 4.3L was 190cc from what Im told
if this is for a stock car i am oing to have to say you aren't going to notice a difference.. besides having the smaller intake manifold port would help with reversion.
1010xxxx is the LT1 intake, but many L99's have it instead of their 'correct' piece and we have seen a couple LT1's at 'j-y supply' that looked virgin but had the smaller manifld...holliander interchange book lists both intakes as same, but L99's run smaller flow rate injectors...always scrape the crud off the first four digits and verify before pickin'.
