I put mine on that same side as you but around the corner toward the back. About straight behind the black thumb **** that secures the housing. Sorry I don't have a picture of mine handy. Just go around the corner there and drill it in there. Good Luck.
i have ths slp claw in my 92 and i am using the air tube attachement on the side because 92 have the electric air pumps i cut about one in the tube and placed the sensor there works great i ran the wire under the air hose tube
Yes, definitely, not Seat of the Pants, but definitely on a time slip. The stock setup gets heat-soaked and lies to the computer, causing timing to be retarded, and full-power isn't achieved.
Okay! Gotta replace the connector anyway, so might as well go ahead and change the location while I'm at it. So you mounted yours in the air tube running from the electric air pump to the solenoid? Any specific spot...or the coolest place you could think of?
I would reccomend to anyone doing this to just cut the original connector off of the wires and solder in two longer pieces of new wire and solder the original connector back on. Don't buy the relocation kit, it would be a waste of money when you could do it like I've mentioned.
It is strange that you should mention that KY. I just relocated mine using your procedure yesterday. I hadn't read your post yet and it seemed like the best way to me. I think it is better than the extension cord method. Less things to break. I cut the 2 wires about 4" from the plug. Soldered in 2 lengths of wire that matched color and gauge. I put black silicone over the solder joints. Put heat shrink tubing over the RTV. (Slip the heat shrink on the wires BEFORE you solder. I almost forgot that yesterday) Then used black 1/4" wire loom over the whole thing. Looks nice and works.....I don't know if it really added any performance but ......
