TPI ECM Numbers / codes ???
Hi everyone,im trying to sell my stock TPI unit
some guy in a 92 Silverado truck engine wants to use it to replace his TBI with my 87 TPI,i told him he needs a ECM and wiring
What's the correct ECM and wiring ?

sammy the ECM he needs is a 165 series part# 1227165 found on 86-89 vettes (pretty sure this is from memory) also found on l98 f bodies. the 85 units part# 1227727 or 1226870 will not work unless he puts on a 85 MAF and burnoff relays. The later 89 wire harness can be used but the cold start will be eliminated. The Harness can be any l98 from 86-88. I think the 305 f body 86 -89 also uses the same series box but the prom will have to be changed. Also the knock sensor must be a 5.7 not 5.0
