Default rebuild kit for 88 Master Cylinder

Does anyone offer a master cylinder rebuild kit for the 1988 C4 Brake Master? I looked in the usual books and only see new replacement units. Just did a fluid flush and now I have fluid dripping outta my Vacum booster. So much for preventitive maintenance.

On my 91 the rebuild kit was more than a rebuilt cylinder. looked local and online at all the usual places and allqround 125 to 165 for a kit and around 85 for a rebuilt exchange.

A rebuilt master was $106 at the Zone today. It was free though, I bought one in 01' for $65 with a lifetime warantee.

For the prices, just buy a rebuilt one.

lol. I like the free one! I will probably buy a rebuilt one, but for NCRS pruposes I would like to have rebuilt this one first. Cant seem to find any rebuild parts though. Maybe Ill save the old one and pay the core charge if I find a kit in the future.

He asked about a rebuild kit, not one already rebuilt. $125 vs $25 is a good savings and the M/C is not difficult to service.

Try asking in the race section, some of those drivers rebuild the M/C quite often. It may be worth asking DRM as well and get one of the bias springs while your at it.
