Anything above 210(with AC off) is good oil temp for everyday driving. Higher oil temps 240 and above you want to figure out why unless your driving real hard.
Also, what does your oil temp say in relationship to your automatic transmission temp, if yuo have a factory gauge to show that?
Years ago I saw some Nascar pre-show thing showing their pre-race prep. One thing they did was preheat the motor oil to 220F or 225F so they wouldn't have to wait for it to come up to temp during the first few laps of the race.
In the Mississippi summer heat, sometimes I see 228F-235F. I'm not worried. Enjoy!
Ok well looks like everything is good,my coolant temp is usually at 200-205 and the oil temp is at 200-225.I have never had a car with an oil temp guage.I have been driving the car on a few of the dry days and been doing some work on it on the bad days and the car is really starting to look and perform well. The car has 233,000 kilometers on it and runs well.I did the weatherstrip kit last weekend, and will be doing headlight door rebuilds soon. Thanks all, Cheers.
