Im going to tackle one thing at a time. Im going to get this swap done and then I will set aside money for a trans if mine were to go. Im starting funds for both a D44 and a tranny. So donations are excepted!!!!!

I am putting my stall converter in so it will give me alittle bump.

Sits in the org LT holes. The engine will be moved foward about 13/16 give or take a little of the org BH location. Pic of the LS sitting on the LT x-member. The mounts shown are at stock height as the rubber mounts. I think i ended up turning them down to about 1 3/4. I had to use solid because the engine has no room to move left to right in my app. I cannot help with the spacing on the c-beam as I am using a ZF. If using the stock setup on the front, the k-member will have to be cut if using a/c. I used a Sanden compressor and is moved in about 2 inches and still had to cut the k member to be able to service it in the future. Hope this helps

What do you think of this setup? Worth the money? Will it clear?

Will your same compressor work with this?

I'm subscribing to this thread. I've been wanting a 95 Vette for some time now. I'm thinking about selling my '78 Z28 to get another Vette.

Do a search it is around. It is more common than a 4L60e swap.

i did that search several times. the only ones i found that tried it gave up and switched to a t56 because of the flywheel and bell housing problems.

Nice project! What are you going to do about the guages, stereo, AC controls, ABS, etc?

Well Im going to lose a couple of functions with the swap as far gauges are concerned. MPG and Distance til empty. I will also lose out on traction control.
Stereo Im not sure if it is effected. If it is Ill rip it out and do a double din touch screen radio.
AC controls Im working on now. Basically I may buy a kit to relocate it to the top of my passenger engine side. Than Ill need custom lines made. Im searching for a shop that is experianced in this. I want to keep it. I do have a write up for AC but it requires the cutting of the k member.
ABS should work along with everything else. Its all in the wiring harness.

Basically I lose minor functions that I dont mind. This is my toy not my DD so I dont mind losing out on somethings for the greater cause.

*** UPDATE TODAY*** Wire harness is sent out they will have it wednesday or so. I orded my Longtube headers but they need to send them out to get coated. I wont get those til like monday. Im still waiting to get a shipping number on my engine. I havent got one. Im starting to worry. He said it will be shipping today. I hope I dont get burned.

It states that it uses a Sanden sd5. That is what I am using. The reason my layout is the way it is...Turbo sittin on the other side, no other possible way could I fit all in the room I have. I have seen that kwik on 54-82 swaps. I like everything tucked in tight and close. Make it easier to work on. If you go open your hood you willl notice a relief in the hood above the alt on the left side. There is not one on the right, so clearence issues could be a problem.

I dont remember the height rite off the top of my head. But those would be stock replacements, I am unsure of that a phone call to pfadt and they could tell you. I made mine out of 2 1/2 inch aluminum bar stock.

Quick Time makes the BH.[/QUOTE]

i'm guessing you had to use a hydraulic throwout bearing and a push-release type clutch.

Well Im worried alittle now. I called the carrier he said that he will be shipping the motor from and they have no record. They said nothing coming to your location. I hasn't responded back after last night I texted him. But he posted on LS1tech at 11pm. And he logged in this morning. I just called him now no answer left a message.

Should I be worried I bought the motor on Thursday?

***Update*** Fuel system is in, I may start to fab the lines tonight.

was it a paypal or a credit card sale ? if so you're fairly safe.
