Default Never noticed this until today---

On my '90 the speedometer displays mph when backing up.

Thats about as useful as (insert your favorite metaphoric phrase here).

amazingly, there is a purpose...the ABS runs a self-diagnostic once at each start cycle when a min vehicle speed is attained, reverse or forward...highly attentive operator may desire to hold backing speed below test threshold, or not.
