1984 - anyone know where to find an EGR solenoid???
I'm going to replace my EGR valve and thought it would make sense to replace the EGR solenoid too.
Can't find the EGR SOLENOID anywhere (prefer new).
Tips/advice???
Thanks.

Went into the Local NAPA store this morning and heard from the friendly clerk:
"YEAH, WE HAVE THIS PART NUMBER BUT I AM TELLING YOU NOW, NO NAPA STORE IN THE WORLD HAS THIS PART".
Great - this looks to be truly obsolete
Now what???

I have looked EVERYWHERE for a new one - not to be found on this planet
If anybody can find a NEW EGR solenoid IN STOCK, specifically for a 1984 Vette, I will Paypal you $20. You have my word.
Thanks.

Also, if anyone is looking for this in the future, the GM # is 1997125, the AC-Delco # is 214-333, and the Standard Motor Products # (discontinued) is VS29.

Thanks man.
I love Chicago and get down there periodically on business.
If I ever run into a guy in the windy city named Matt with a Vette, I'll by him an Old Style

Replacement EGR solenoid
A replacement for the 1984 needs to be normally closed. I used a solenoid from a 2000 Silverado, AC Delco #214-358. I got mine on Amazon for $16. I also ordered the connector PT374 (Amazon Prime $13). The solenoid can mount at a 90 degree position from the original with minor vacuum hose modifications.
