Default I will clean injectors tomorrow.

They are for Cherokee.
I will hook up 12V to injector and run carb cleaner through.
If you decide to do it like me make sure there are no sparks.
Clean injectors will show same stream pattern so you can see results.
I cleaned injectors couple years ago for another car and don't remember how I pumped cleaner through injector. Maybe I will use 7 PSI fuel pump tomorrow, it was somewhere in my shed.
I am pretty sure whoever "rebuilds" injectors just cleans them like me (well, pressure is definitely higher).

use a 9vlt alkaline. If you put 12 volts in without pulsing the injector you can ruin the coil. They are not meant to be on off solenoids.

one word - DON'T.
If you have stock injectors, it will do nothing and GM says never do it.

So your posting on the Corvette Forum,
that your going to clean your Cherokee injectors using a dangerous,
if not ridiculous method.

I don't git it........

Good luck

I don't really know difference between Cherokee and Vette injectors, are they square or L-shaped in your Vette?
I was just trying to save somebody couple hundred bucks.
You should definitely buy new ones! How much do they go for? $60 a piece? 60x8=? My calculator says "lots of money"!

Default Hold my beer...

Sure your intentions are good all they are saying is be careful (as there are a LOT of questionable repairs/fixes posted on the board) and do it right , a few hundred bucks isnt worth a life or being covered in scar tissue.

Keep us posted on how you do this.

Use the car5car method that involves an Acura transmission manual and a steering wheel puller.

You are right! It is safer. It also safer to let dealership work on your car and buy all parts from a dealer. Brand new car is definitely safer!
If I clean my injectors can I still get $250 deductible?

Try the 9v battery and forcing carb cleaner (from a aerosol can) into it. I went to the junkyard and got some injector plugs and wires to hook up.
Have to make a adapter from the squirt tube to injector, but it works.
Maybe the whole rail could be pressurized also

You know you can always pay a pro 60-100 to have them professionally done. If they are Multecs dont waste your time.

FWIW I purchased a set of Gen III's for my Cherokee from FIC and the cost of 130 was more than worth the hassle of attempting to clean them.

If your short on bucks run a can of SeaFoam through your fuel tank.
Its not the same as having them professionally cleaned and flow matched,

but it's dam safer!!!
