opti seal question

My instructions say do not lubricate the seal for the opti.
That doesnt make sense to me its prettey hard rubber and tight on the opti bearing outer diameter..

also are the 2 small seals at the bottom of the pic for the shaft on the opti ???

The 2 "O" rings on the Opti shaft would be my guess as well.

Accel's Opti Install directions say the say thing - do not lubricate. Goes on to say it has to do with the material the seals are made of. Following the directions is what I'd do. If the say don't, DON'T.

what makes no sense is oil gets on it when you start the engine,but I wont do it,I just dont want to mess up the seal

Those oring seals are for the intermediate waterpump drive shafts at the coupling.
