well, i checked it out yesteday. Car drove very well, does have more road noise than i would like but, i think thats normal on a C4?

Issues with the car:
-paint (all of it)
-Pass side window motor
-"change oil" light on dash
-oil temp guage looks to be out of whack
-slight squeeking noise when you turn the wheel. (unsure what it could be)
-RPM guage doesnt work

we've come to a possible agreement on an EVEN trade.
What do you guys think??

I like an even trade and that car is a nice car. The miles are right and he had some other work done to it that i forgot to factor into my decision. If it drove well thats a major factor. One has to like the feel and the miles are excellent
You buy that car and all you have to do is find local body man who needs work. When you find a guy like that hell be happy to paint the whole car cheap, because he has no work. You will know the guys who have plenty of work or money cause their price will be double
The road noise goes away once you turn up the tunes like your supposed to and if it matters you can install some sound deadening material and reduce a good bit of it. Never bothered me, I always just turn up the tunes and cruise

I knew he would be negotiable lol

lol yeah it was negotiable.... he said he can get me the carfax to prove the miles. Was previously owned by a local Judge, then his GF's mom bought it off him then he got it with 34K miles.
Just trying to figure out the "issues" I found on the car. Since im not very familiar with the L98...
He said he was gonna take it to a shop to have a complete check done to it and let me know what they find. Id like to have that done myself actually. But it looks like he really wants my bike.

PS no knock on camaro trans am etc but the vette platform is a superior platform in my option

To bad you dont live close by me. I could paint that sucker in one day and I like that mettalic gray a very rich color indeed. The cluster is no problem either everything you need for that car is on ebay and for great prices. Oh and also if hes that concientious yeah let him fix what he wants before the deal that would be a good idea

Thanx for the compliment, it comes with age and a few hard knocks lol
well that wont be a problem as you have tons of owners on here who can steer you in the right direction but first things first you actually need to get the car to Mod up lol

Oh and remember the Joy in owning one of these is in the building of it. You buy these cars to build my opinion and if you can afford another car you make that your daily driver. Thats how it is with me. Mine is under the cover and when its time to play well you know the story

well it sounds like you know what you are doing lol I have a Jeep Cherokee 5 speed that runs like a sports car and has humbled the BMX X5 the Merrcedes 320 killed that sucker and ran neck in neck with an M3 at a 120. My latest victim a ford edge. Set up with Rancho RS900 ( way adjustbale shocks with an in cab controller I can take turns and smoke em sideways while most peoples head is boucing off the windows on turns Im straight up. No suv can out handle my jeep, especially any automatics. I have humiliated many of these 40,000 suvs right out of the gate many times. It also chirps third gear on a hot summer day and thats a pretty stock 4.0 HO motor. I know this truck very well I have built 3 of them. Stage two lutch KN filter pack Msd ignition and a helper spring in the back to act like a ladder bar. This trucks bolts out of the hole straight with absolutely no sag. My friend with his dodge hemi when he saw my truck launch was afraid to even try it and he was right not to. I mean what could be worse than getting humliated by a Jeep that looks like a refridgerater on 4 wheels. The absolute best kept secret out there is the 2 door 5 speed and mine is a two wheel drive lighter and way faster. I absolutely love driving my jeep everyday and mine is mint looking with the american racing wheels DVD player remote start that i installed. I would not trade or sell this truck for anything. It is the best kept secret I have and it cost me jack **** to own. That is what it is all about for me. i could give a rats *** what people think it looks like, its such a pleasure knocking the entire **** out of their ego. In fact that is the name of my truck the ego de- flater and If I ever get a hesco supercharger forget it. It would be scary and it might actually be next. A link below will show Killer and what Im gonna do next is have someone watch this sucker launch and vid it cause seeing is beleiving

http://www.flickr.com/photos/50102614@N05/4931963259/

Ps best of luck with your decision. I think an even trade would be just about right even though I might have tried to knock him down a grand. thast if your bike is really worth 6k and could get it in a heartbeat. if its really a 5k bike then it is definitely a fair deal

Exactly a lot of trucks are pretty damn fast today. I dont think there is anything better than a fast suv. Its the unexpected. If its anything lime my jeep which it sounds it they are shocked to see the sucker launch and then they are put in a situation where they dont know what to do so they stay back cause only one of two things can happen and losing to a refrigerater isnt one of them lol I absolutely love that

Nothing like having a car or truck that you like and enjoy. You never get sick of. That is what I like most. I used to have to buy thisone that one and this one and that one and now I have exactly what I want
Oh yeah the refridgerater I love that analogy lol

Oh and if you look through my pics youll see my new 93 vette the 6 speed ruby red and check out the plate Ill be putting on it with my site Onemorehithockey.com Talk about living the fast life I have lived it bro believe me and Im living it. My camp opens in the spring and Ill be getting to camp in the vette. Who could possibly have it better

The skater in onemorehit is me that is my site

I have dreamed it and I have built it and now its becoming a reality. I truly am blessed
