Where to start?
Last week I bought an 89 Firebird that's had the engine swapped for one from, what I was told, was a 90 C5. I've already learned that if it's a 90, it's a C4. Anyway, the car is acting like it's starving for fuel. It idles fine but when you mash the gas, it sputters and pops, hesitates, and acts like it's gonna stall. The fuel pump and filter are fine. My b/f checked that this morning.
I'm not sure whoever did this engine swap did any kind of tuning, at all, afterward. So I have no idea what the a/f ratio is on the car and have no way to link into the diagnostics to read it at the moment.
Any ideas that y'all might have, at all, would be greatly appreciated. I don't even know where to start.
Thanks!
Oh... and it doesn't seem to be the injectors. We checked those too...
