AC will not turn off

Default AC will not turn off
I have an 86 with r134 retro fit. The ac will not turn off. The controls are off but I keep hearing the compressor clutch clicking and when I shut off the car I hear the pressure release. I have changer the blower, and resistor in the past 2 years. Someone here had told me it could be a bad micro switch in the control. I don't have electronic climate control and I don't see any microswitchs in the control. Thanks

Any chance your in defog mode ?

I don't think so. I pulled out the climate control and ckecked all the hoses and vacuum connections. Everything looks good. all the controls do what they are supposed to do but when I slide then to off, the ac stays on. I don't have a clue as to what it can be

There is a rotary electrical switch inside the control head. Not a micro switch.

I know this sounds simple, but have you checked the pressure. The charge might be just a little low. I hope that we're on the same page.

I know full well it is a PITA to pull the control head but pull it and check continuity at each switch position. I went thru this last summer.
