i hope someone here has a suggetion. just got my L98 back with a new cam, miniram etc. got everthing hooked up fired it for the first time and the temp marched straight to 260 and i shut it off. i am using the remote mountable csi electric waterpump and have it plumbed to all the original holes, but the temp went to 260 twice more after the first time. does anyone know if the csi has to primed, or some other trick that i am missing? i've also poured coolant directly into the plenum and even removed the t-stat, thinking it may be stuck closed, all with the same result. any help will be greatly appreciated
thanks david
Not going to be able to provide any help unfortunatly.
I do have a question though. Where did you mount the pump? And any idea where I can get the block adapters? I am looking at buying a remote pump from a friend, he bought it for a Fr0d so it doesnt have the adapters I need with it. Not having seen the unit yet I am clueless as to location.
BTW, thats a damned sexy yellow one you got there!
I also run a remote Meziere pump, but never had any problems.Only problem is if its not turned on or running. It runs very quiet,so check it out.I use a thermostat restrictor plate to better control temps.IMO,a t-stat defeats this purpose. If there is a down side, its takes longer to iniatially get up to operating temp.
For the person inquiring about engine block plates for the electric pump,CSI or Meziere sell them. You will also need to purchase threaded water hose adapters. This is generally a race only application,IMO.

Re: CSI electric waterpump help!!!! (VetteRacer282)
i mounted the pump on the firewall where the hvac blower motor used to be. as to the block adapters, go to csicsi.com they have the flanges. i will warn you though that while the price of the new waterpump was only about $300 with the flanges i have spent another $300 in plumbing. all those aluminum fittings and the hoses are quite expensive
I mounted the pump closer to the front of the motor. This eliminates the need to run long hoses.I also used industries 1" water (high psi) hose.Even using two braided hoses ,the install could be done for ~$100.
thanks for everyones ideas, turns out i had to do a better job packing the cooling system which allowed the pump to work very well, and yes you can plumb it for less than $300 , but i had a specific look i was going for. sorry for any confusion
