I've had about 70 trips down the track since my ARH 1 3/7"-1 7/8" stepped header install. They are about one and a half tenths quicker in the quarter compared to the Hooker 1 3/4" Super Competition headers. Good job ARH. I've got these headers on my C6Z and now my C4.

Did you retune after the headers?
Whats the color that they turned to from? My SS304? headers are still SS looking, not copper.

Do you guys sell a header and/or a full system that fits & works as well for the older L98 C4 crowd? Your website says some modifications for L98 fitment may be required...... What does that mean? Thanks for the response.

1.5 in the quarter is 10-15 LBS of torque. Any thoughts out there on an upgrade to these headers on a 396 LT1. Also have the 1 3/4
Hookers. Current torque is 440 RWTQ. 455 might be worth it?

I haven't had my car dynoed, but it's best run was 10.51@127 with my 406. I think the stepped headers work well with bigger motors.

383vett thanks for helping answer some questions. Just spent 7 hours driving to Carlisle for the Vette show. I appreciate you sharing your results. 10.50's is outstanding. I'd love a video we could host on our sister website arhforums.com

Red Rocket I'm pretty convinced your 396 will pick up with our step headers. Email me at nick@americanracingheaders.com if you'd like more information. Thanks.

Your headers are great. I'm 2 for 2 so far on fitment and quality and performance. No video yet, just a picture...

Maybe even more then 10-15 in the tq dept.

My 421 also has the hookers that you have. I have a feeling I would pick up some power too, but the arent in the AR's arent in budget at this time, but that would be a sweet upgrade for me.

Not to go against the flow here but you may see a gain going to a larger collector on your existing headers.Sure it is a pain to modify(no good if coated)but many a drag racer has picked up ET doing this.

Has anyone installed these on a "convertible", with the factory "X"-brace underneath, just wondered if there was any fit issues related to the factory "X"-brace with either the collectors, or the high flow cats.

I know there is not much room there even with a stock set-up.

96 LT1 set up for me, currently have the Corsa cat back exhaust and an old set of shorty headers that have been on for about 13 years now.

It looks like ARH sent the wrong headers to me. I was getting everything set up in the garage to start the tear down so I can instal my mini-ram and fast burn heads. Started to unwrap all the paper of the longtubes, and oops these have emisions fittings, the x-pipe is right non-catted. So I will have to call ARH on monday and see about getting the right set of longtubes. It just means I will have to push my time frame back on getting the car started.
