Just plug the vacuum lines and make safe the electrical connections.

Why would you remove it if you go anywhere on the freeway? That is one of the things I enjoy. If you have speed cameras, the cruise control is a ticket saver.

iv never used it before (dont even know how actually), even when i drove highway to get to my job. i like removing anything i dont need out of the engine bay (a/c is long gone), to clear up space under the hood and thats just another thing to get out of there

i really dont see the fascination behind removing the a/c.like that 20lbs is going to make your car faster or one up on a one with a/c. luxuries, hell who needs all that crap driving to work.

when did i say anything about going faster? i clearly stated i remove things to clear up space. changing plug wires took me hours before i removed it, about 15 mins after. it cleared up alot of space, which is what i removed it for

well i don't know about you but i use my a/c a hell of alot more then i change my plugs.. so unless you have some crazy obsession with giving your car a tune up more then it needs one i am not seeing the purpose for removing the a/c other then to try and keep up with the duke boys out on the back 40.

There have been quite a few horror stories recently about cruise controls malfunctioning and almost killing people. The early ones are pretty basic as well. I remember using the cruise control on an old 1976 450 sel mercedes and just as I slowed down on the off ramp to get off the freeway it decided to accelerate back up to 60 mph at full throttle. Scary stuff.

Even I am considering ripping the cruise control out to unclutter the engine bay. I don't think it works anyhow.
