Aside from just putting on two new wire loom covers and the vac lines this project is just about done.
I'm hoping that next weekend I'll start it up. Took some pics to show the new hedmen elites with the metal gasket. The gasket I'm using cost $35 but it was well worth it. Fitment of the elites on the 84 is dead on.

Sweet build ED. It'll be nice to see another 84 shooting through the traps! Are those Elites 1 3/4"? Willie.

Thanks.
The primaries on the elites are 1-5/8 in.
While doing this change I decided to swap out all the wire loom to new loom made by Russell performance. Mseven recommend it. Its a great product btw.

Very nice indeed. Do those nostrils in the aftermarket hood suck cold air? Just what my 84 needs too.

Ed, glad to see your close to being finished. It looks sweet,Im sure it will be a screamer. Now if Mike V gets his motor in we can have a Pete K motor line up at Carlisle this year and have 3 cars with Pete's motors in a row.. ...I hope your planning on going to Carlisle this year?...WW

I'll be there!
And on the dyno.

I think we need some nice stickers from Pete for the cars, " PeteK Motorsports" or something.

Default All ready to start it up

Its ready to roll. Took a few pics a couple of days ago that I wanted to share.
Ended up having tons of room around the exhaust and headers. There are no wires, fuel lines etc within 3 inches of any of it. Even the plugs and wires are a perfect fit.
You'll note in the pics below also that I located the O2 an wideband behind the reducers flanges approx 3 in. They fit up in the tunnel along side the tranny. Not the easiest to replace if I have to but they won't be to bad and I wanted them out of the way.

I also removed the resonater and replaced with new 304ss pipes, Not an X-pipe but for now this will do and I can do the Xpipe later on

What did you use for the air cleaner? THat looks nice - wonder if it would work on an LT1 car (mine is MAP only).

Looks pretty!

Its a universal fit K&N with an oval opening for two blade TBs. I have one I am no longer using. PM me if you want it.

qws - that engine came out nice! Got any sound clips?

Thanks. I can't remember exactly but between the cam, lifters, rockers and push rods I'd guess around $950 or so

Really nice job, Ed. I'm stalled on my "project". The machinist here in North England was apprehensive about stroker clearancing my original Pace Car block and I didn't want to let my ham fisted self loose with a grinder, so decided to put the Pace Car motor back together with original parts and new gaskets, seals, bearings and rings, seal it up and leave it on a stand in the corner of my garage. I've got on of the Summit 383 blocks on its way to me now and I'll be able to put my forged rotating assembly and AFR heads on a 4 bolt roller block. Minor set back. You've done a great job though.

Pete, I've got a retro-roller cam I won't be using now that I'm going with a roller block. It's the Crane 119821, let me know if you are interested.

I heard some noise this morning. Was that the motor starting up?
