86 Vert Map light stays on
The map light on the vert is located on the rear view mirror. Stays on no matter which position the switch is.
Turns off with the key thank god. Just irritating.

Do you know how it is meant to work? My '92 has a light on the underside of the mirror that is, IIRC, always on when the key is on. I think they called it a "floodlight" or suchlike. I also tried to shut it off, but couldn't. The owner's manual, again, IIRC, says this is correct.

You can pop out the light and switch and test the switch.
