Default 12 volt switched source for relay in the engine compartment

Hi guys. I had my relay setup to the oil pressure sensor previously. It's not really putting out the voltage to trip the relay. Im only seeing .2 volts at the relay after patching into this wire. Consequently, it's not tripping the relay and my accessories hooked up to the relay aren't turning on.

Are there any other 12 volt switched sources of power that I can use to trigger my relay? Thanks!

Find the pink w/black tracer wire connected to either fan relay located on the drivers side radiator shroud.

Tap into the fusebox. Find the fuse for the radio, breaker for the windows or whatever is on with the key on accessory or ignition. A fsm or voltmeter will help.

You could also tap into the hot wire for the wipers.

thanks for all the responses. I'm looking to hook the relay to the fire wall of the engine compartment so tapping into the windshield wiper hot wire might be the best. I had a FSM but I can't find it after moving. I'll need to dig around and see if I can find it. I do have a voltmeter to play with so that should help a bit.

It's so wierd. Over the last month of firing the car up once a month or so, my trans computer isn't even turning on anymore because my oil pressure sensor is putting out so little voltage. Hopefully I can find a new way to switch on the relay and I can get the car back on the road.

I ended up using the other oil pressure sensor, the 3 wire one. I tapped into the red wire. Thanks forum.
