I'm picking up a Built 4L60e and 2800-3000 stall Friday. I'm running A Dana 36 with 307s it's low mileage 30K hopefully it will hold up for a while. So what your saying is don't hit it hard

How did that Fbody exhaust line up, any pictures?
What did you do for Accessories?

ill do my best to grab some pics of the manifolds. in my 89 car they clear everything just fine and line up perfect for routing exhaust. the accessories. . .its a concoction of fbody ls stuff, and l98 stuff thats all fabbed up.
the auto should help the 36 live longer then my t56, its a bit harder on the driveline.

Which motor mounts did you use with the t56? I've been kicking this idea around some but wasn't sure how I'd get the motor, accessories, oil pan, and transmission to line up quite right.

Took a 3hr drive but it was worth it.
Today's shopping got me ..OEM exhaust and oil pan from a 98 vette. I'm not sure if the oil pan will work but it's worth a shot.

And people think headers are a PITA!

I know there's a couple of LSx conversion threads running 'round the net. Hope they help you out.

Sucks about the HSR. I wanted to hear more feedback!

I wanted to be done and enjoy my car
Apparently the Hot Rod Gods wanted me to have a LSX.
BTW I have the old engine apart. I don't know what caused it but I can see at least one lobe is gone looking through the lifter hole. I'm thinking my mistake was not lubing the cam after it sat. *shrug*

I read through that thread a couple of times very useful info.
I picked up a 4L60E and 3000 stall converter yesterday.

Where did you get the speedhound parts? I thought they stopped business?

Are you going to be running the melrose swap headers too? Which oil pan are you using?

Which accessory drive?

Sorry for so many questions but I liked the work you did on the HSR conversions and the corresponding write ups. Looking forward to seeing the full write up on this one!

The website says so but if you call and talk to him you can order them. He was very nice and helpful. He also mentioned if time permits he is going to try to develop C4 LSX swap kits. The mounts were actually shipped from Vettaid.
I'm going to try and make some OEM manifolds work for now. I have a C5 batwing oil pan but I'm working on a F-body pan. I think i can make the C5 pan fit but I'm not sure. I have F-body accessories.

Thanks, I might be following you with this swap, I've been hunting a t56 in my area and the best way to buy them seems to be attached to an ls1!

You wouldn't think it takes 8 hrs to clean and paint an engine but it did.

I cleaned this thing with a wheel brush and tooth brush. What I couldn't reach with those I used a screw driver with a rag. I HATE CLEANING STUFF. I painted the valve covers coil brackets and fuel rail red to give it some spice. Now it's ready to drop in.
So tomorrow the short bock comes out.
Then I have to clean the engine compartment.
Disregard the ugly truck pan its just there to keep stuff out.
