Default Corvette Wheel Offset Chart

Here is a chart which profiles the required wheel offset for various year Corvettes. When changing wheel diameter and width, you need to maintain the correct wheel offset to keep from rubbing your tires on the inner fender well.

That's "A MESS" and there's no way that a person should or could use it as a guide! There's plenty of misconceptions that a person could assume from it.

Your comment: "When changing wheel diameter and width, you need to maintain the correct wheel offset to keep from rubbing your tires on the inner fender well."

- There's more to "tire/wheel" fitment than just keeping the tire off the inner fender well!! If you're only concerned with that a quick measure of "back-spacing" confirms that characteristic. Back-spacing is easily measured by most everyone. Offset? I doubt there are many who can calculate it correctly when presented with just a bare wheel less casting information. Many likely would error just identifying the wheels advertised width.

- There's just to much information there that isn't near correct. I'd suggest you attempt to validate the chart yourself. You'll soon understand my comment: It's "A MESS"!

ohh an 88-96 with 18x8.5 wheels.... which ones are they then?

Does seem to be some iffy data here... but a good idea.

I read that as the 18x8.5 wheels come from the front of of '97-'11 (excluding C6 Z06, ZR1, Grand Sport) and will fit '88-'96 front and rear based on offset. Maybe I'm thick!

That's how I read it too.
