Default Water Pump drive seals

How do you install the water pump drive seal witout bending the lip of the seal or shearing the lip off?

I just did mine over the weekend. I did a similar approach as the Impala forum guy, but instead of using the marker body, I used the cap of a standard round highlighter marker. I drilled out the center so I just had the outer cylinder and sanded off the ridges on the outside of the marker cap so they would not deform the seal. Since the cap is tapered it expands the seal nicely if you slide it from the inside out. The widest part of the marker cap is just a hair bigger that the shaft. It slid on nicely.

Good luck.
