With that adapter you need a sanden compressor and fab up some lines.. your A/C should be easier that mine you don't have a smarta$$-A/C. IIRC youre A/C is pretty much stand alone the only thing it asks the ECM is to bump up the Idle and turn on the fans. That is done with one wire A/C request to the ECM.. the LS PCM can handle this. This is from memory of what I have read so I could be wrong.

Yes, the ECU has nothing to do with the AC except to bump up the idle an drop the AC clutch at WOT

And to take it a step further for AC in an early car with LS - According to Jon at PSI, you do not need to tell the new PCM AC is on, it will sense the load (remember this something our MAF only cars don't do) and adjust idle accordingly.

I don't have actual experience to say it works but there are a lot of cars from the sixties running these conversions with AC systems incapable of outputting a request signal to a PCM.

My plan is to make a bracket to use OEM style compressor.

Suddenly the money I just spent on a rotating assembly for my measly L98 383 seems wasted.

Boy am I glad my wife doesn't read these posts I would be banned for life from ever using the computer again as she would see this LSX thread and figure I would be buying an LSX for everything that has an engine in it that we own. Including Jet Ski's.....

Best of luck and extremely jealous......BTW, are you reinforcing the chassis due to all the additional torque????

Well, I am going to make some fine tuning alterations to my 406 and leave it in this year,,

the LSX 454 has piqued my interest a lot, so I think I'm going to waiting until fall 2013 and do the LSX 454 deal then possibly sooner i.e. summer 2013 but next fall for sure.

Hey LD85 ,

you still have room to grow with the 210 AFRs that you have , the set i had went up to 222 CCs and made great power , it put my pump gas 434 into the low 10s . Get a hold of mike stark and see what he thinks . I would put a 2.100 intake valve in it and sleeve the pushrod pinch , and raise the roof and port your HSR .

I'll call Mike and get his input, I'd love to squeeze some more out of my current combo

Default lsx454 c4 install update

Sorry, it's been a while sine I posted. The shop pulled the drivetrain out and mocked my new lsx/t56 magnum up. We had my rear end redone with the best pieces I could find then installed all Denny's drive shaft and half shafts. Went with wu wood big brake kit. New ball joints, tie rod ends, bushings, body/window rubber, ect. I have been working with nitrous outlet and did their black widow setup and we moved the battery so I could run a dedicated fuel tank for the nitrous. We had kooks make a set of heads so those should be here soon. I have changed so many things on this build is why it has taken so long. I decided to send my heads off the WCCH and have them fully ported, milled, valve job, ect. Also going with a larger cam and changing springs and rockers. A recent magazine article then ran this setup got 751hp on motor! I'll try and keep everyone better updated and get some pics. Ive in the middle of a rotisserie restoration of my pro touring 1969 Camaro with everything from DSE and an all aluminum fuel injected 540 from Scott shafiroff with 6-speed, ect. So my time has been limited. Talk to y'all soon.
